FAW brand history

The FAW brand history is quite short. In July 1956, the factory began producing Jiefang CA-10 trucks that were copies of ZiS-a-150. In May 1958, the plant presented a four-door passenger car Dongfeng CA-71, modeled after the French Simce Vedette, which was produced for a year. Three months later, the prototype of the Hongqi CA 72-IE limousine was presented.

The most known models of passenger cars are: Hongqi, Vita, Xiali, Besturn, Vizi, Vela, Weizhi, Fuli, Linya. The best known FAW truck models are: Jiefang CA-10, J6.
